RapidEye Enters the U.S. Government Arena

Brandenburg / Havel, Germany, April 14, 2009 – RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate their own satellite constellation, announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership
agreement with MakaLani, LLC of Honolulu, Hawaii, to be one of their distributors in the United States. They will be a distributor for RapidEye satellite imagery for the U.S. Governmental market, particularly for the
defense, intelligence community and homeland security.

Wolfgang Biedermann, CEO of RapidEye, commented, “We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with Mr. Pires and his team to provide the U.S. Government market with high resolution imagery.
