New Delhi, August 4, 2009: RMSI along with Al-Arfaj Engineering Company (AEC) of Kuwait have recently been awarded the prestigious Kuwait Environment Public Authority (KEPA) project to develop an Environmental Monitoring Information System for the State of Kuwait. RMSI headquartered in Noida, India is a leading player in the Global Geospatial Services industry, whereas Al-Afraz Engineering Company is an Engineering firm with activities connected to the Imports, Sales of Process Instrumentation, Electrical & Mechanical Equipments.

The scope of the project in its first phase would include developing the environmental monitoring centre (EMC) and geo-environmental database for the state of Kuwait within the environmental monitoring information system (EMIS) to enhance capabilities in the monitoring of environmental sites and activities in Kuwait using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other
relevant technologies such as GPS and Remote Sensing. In order to reach this goal, the KEPA has engaged RMSI and AEC to establish an Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) built upon the latest technology hardware, software
and networking infrastructure, as well as developing and improving the skills of its potential technical staff. The centre would house, a Geo-Environmental database that accommodates up-to-date environment-relevant datasets of Kuwait along with all relevant geospatial data available at the KEPA to be designed, developed, populated and hosted
by RMSI and AEC at the EMC.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Patne, Head of GIS RMSI said "It is a great honor to partner a reputed firm like Al-Arfaj Engineering Company, which is one of the top Engineering firms of Kuwait. Our combined technical and industry knowledge along with AEC's expertise on the Kuwait market will
help us provide cutting edge solutions to our clients taking this partnership to new levels."
