Quartix Pay As You Go vehicle tracking

April 17, 2009 - Quartix has become the first major telematics provider to offer pay as you go vehicle tracking.

The move follows recent press announcements by one of its competitors that it is unable to obtain lease finance for small and medium-size businesses.

Quartix Pay As You Go, at £19.50 per month, allows customers to cancel at any time after the first three months – without penalty.

All Quartix’s customers are being offered pay as you go and remain unaffected by any lack of lease finance.

With the new Quartix product customers commit to the first three months and pay an initial set-up fee of £45, or £95 including installation. Rental of the tracking system starts at just £19.50 per month; the customer simply returns the tracking unit after use.

Up to now the telematics industry has required clients to sign up to fixed-lease periods of at least three years.

Launching Quartix Pay As You Go, Quartix managing director, Andy Walters, said: “Our market research found there is a real need for flexibility. Customers simply do not want to make multi-year commitments in a time of recession.”

The Quartix Pay As You Go scheme is available through a number of options published at www.quartix.net.
