GeoFARMatics is a key, three-day conference focusing on the use of geo-information to support agriculture and the related value added chain of production. Alongside GeoFARMatics there is an associated international exhibition from system and component manufacturers of software and hardware, logistics and service companies. With its focus on trends in ICT technology and applications GeoFARMatics addresses the technology advances in agriculture, and the challenges and opportunities, which face service providers in applying solutions to agribusinesses.
GeoFARMatics provides an appealing program, varying from traditional elements like keynotes, from prominent and internationally renowned speakers in the fields of EU-policy, machine manufacturers & geo-information, to innovative elements like a ‘Pecha Kucha’ presentation series. Separate paper sessions, workshops and poster sessions address more specific topics, alternated with exhibition- and demonstration breaks, an icebreaker and a networking dinner.
The scientific topics that will be addressed are:
- Farm Management Information Systems
- Designing international standards for information exchange in agribusiness
- Standardisation and Interoperability
- Providing standards through Web Services
- Trends in Geo Information for farmers and administration
- Trends for ICT in agribusiness
- Emerging technologies in Ag-Software
- Emerging technologies in on-farm geo-information applications & software.
GeoFARMatics is organised by The EU-funded projects FutureFarm and agriXchange as well as our CAPIGI-network. For further information on the subjects of discussion, the venue and your conference subscription please visit the link below and do it today, as the pre-registration is open now and the number of participants is limited to keep the discussion vibrant.
