Redlands, California—June 09, 2011—TK Telekom, a modern and rapidly growing telecommunications operator for Polish Railway, plans to improve its fiber network by implementing SunVizion Network Information Management, an application developed with GIS technology from Esri by Suntech S.A., an Esri partner.
Implementation partner PKP Informatyka coordinated the contract, which covers system delivery, implementation, data migration, and integration with legacy systems of the client.
"By using GIS, we will be able to digitally catalog thousands of kilometers of our cable routes and hundreds of thousands of other infrastructural components, generating an immediate and easily accessible knowledge of each network element," said Marek Prokurat, vice president of Polish Railway Telecom. "The SunVizion solution will directly facilitate infrastructure management and significantly increase profitability of our business."

Adopting Cloud computing can save money, but good governance is essential to manage the risk argues Mike Small
