Planet Action is a non-profit initiative launched by Spot Image, leading supplier of satellite imagery and geo-information, joined by ESRI, leading GIS technologies provider as co-founder.
Today some 150 projects worldwide acting on Climate-Change issues are benefitting from Earth observation images, GIS and Image processing systems.
Planet Action has just announced its annual Call for Projects addressed to environmental NGOs, research laboratories, universities, institutional organizations... active in fighting climate change.
We believe that your organization is able to communicate to a public yet unknown to us. This is why we would appreciate your cooperation in disseminating this Call for Projects. Therefore, we propose you to kindly forward the following message to your contacts – either through a website, as a publication or an e-mail:
“Planet Action will support more projects this year!
Planet Action provides satellite imagery, geographic information and technology support to local projects that investigate and assess climate change focusing on human issues, drought & desertification, water resources, forestry, biodiversity, oceans, ice, and awareness. This year, Planet Action will support additional projects while following up on current projects and their results on the ground. New project proposals can be submitted on-line at http://www.planet-action.org/ .”
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question or concern.
