Pitney Bowes MapInfo Enhances AnySite

Windsor,— January 16, 2008—Pitney Bowes MapInfo, the leading global provider of location intelligence, today announced the newest versions of AnySite, an easy-to-use yet powerful mapping and reporting application, and AnySite Segmentation plug-in, an advanced predictive analytics tool. The two solutions provide businesses in retail, restaurant, real estate and financial services with new power to visualise and analyse their customer and sales data, competition and markets in order to make more profitable site location, marketing and merchandising decisions.

AnySite v8.8 is a location intelligence tool for developing site selection strategies and analysing a broad range of consumer behaviour. Coupled with the AnySite Segmentation plug-in v2.0, organisations can more quickly and easily analyse and visually display existing customers and transaction data by branch or store location, enhancing target marketing programmes and increasing sales.

For example, using the combined AnySite Segmentation solution, retailers can profile trade areas of existing stores and correlate them against new potential trade areas, helping to more accurately estimate the performance of new stores. Additionally, once a new site is built, the AnySite Segmentation plug-in can profile the retailer’s best customers and display where these types of customers are concentrated and distributed around the new location. This information and analysis assists marketers in better targeting their direct mail campaigns, thereby decreasing cost and increasing response rates. Retailers can also use AnySite with segmentation to develop store merchandising profiles based on their analysis of the correlation between market demographics and lifestyles and past store sales data.

“Pitney Bowes MapInfo continues to deliver the industry’s most powerful integrated site selection and target marketing solutions with the release of AnySite v8.8 and AnySite Segmentation plug-in v2.0,” said Mike Hickey, President, Pitney Bowes Software. “As the industry standard for real estate analytics among retailers and restaurants, these new components will enable AnySite users to analyse sites and markets more efficiently and effectively. By leveraging customer data to uncover where target customers are concentrated and what the most effective means to reach them are on a site, market and national level, organisations can ensure they are getting a high ROI on their marketing investments.”

AnySite v8.8 is available in the United States, Canada, the UK and Australia. The Segmentation plug-in is supported in the United States, Canada and the UK. Pricing varies by country.
