Panasonic Toughbook exhibits at BAPCO 2009

Panasonic is pleased to announce it will be exhibiting its full range of Toughbooks, the ultra rugged notebook PC’s at BAPCO 2009.

BAPCO the leading authority in promoting integrated ICT for the emergency services is this year celebrating 10 years of exhibitions and Panasonic Toughbook is proud to be there to join in the celebrations and showcase its full line up.

In the fast paced world of the emergency services it is vital to have a computing solution to support the everyday working practices of the emergency professional.

Panasonic Toughbook takes pride in developing the ultimate rugged IT solution to help make their working day simpler.

Leicestershire Constabulary uses the state-of-the-art Panasonic CF-19 notebooks to provide officers in the field with 24-hour access to exactly the same information as their colleagues back in the station. With its wireless connectivity and rugged portability, the CF-19 has liberated officers from having to make journeys back to base to complete time-consuming paperwork.

The introduction of the Toughbook has lead to “A huge saving in time and resources, where previously it took between five and seven days to find the time to fill in and scan up to ten forms it can all be done electronically in a very short time from the vehicle” comments Inspector Sanjiv Pattani.

And the Leicestershire Constabulary aren’t the only service choosing Toughbook; Surrey Fire and Rescue, East of England NHS and South Yorkshire NHS have also implemented mobile communication devices into their everyday activities to increase efficiency.

Panasonic see this as an important show due to BAPCO’s continuing work into the use of technology in the emergency services and how it can make lives safe and working conditions more efficient.

Included in the product line up on the stand will be the recently updated Mark3 CF19 and CF-30; January 2009 saw the launch of the next generation flagship models of the Toughbook ruggedised notebook range. The new and advanced technologies, which include new LED backlit screen technology for the CF-19, a high degree of usability, a variety of interfaces, Gobi (Qualcomm) Module and rugged construction they are the perfect companion for tough environments.
