PTV software at IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition

Coping with high diesel fuel prices and toll charges?

See PTV software at IAA Commercial Vehicles, Sept 23 - Oct 2

To cope with increasing toll and fuel prices it is essential to minimize mileage and the use of toll routes. At this year's IAA
Commercial Vehicles (hall 24, stand E04) exhibition PTV will be presenting its software tools, such as map&guide professional 2008,
map&guide truck navigator 5.0 and PTV Intertour Compact, designed to dramatically reduce transport costs.

map&guide professional 2008, the HGV route planner, assists dispatchers in selecting individual routes by using new functions for road closures, NAVTEQ Transport truck attributes and an optimised calculation of alternative routes. Additionally, users can define their own route attributes. It is also possible to calculate toll charges and to book the toll online in map&guide professional.

With map&guide truck navigator 5.0 users can define individual HGV profiles. These and other settings ensure that the software calculates the ideal route for each type of vehicle. Warning signals help improve safety in hazardous situations (e.g. if dangerous bends are ahead).

All HGV-specific restrictions are displayed on a digital map. Users can manually block road sections which should not be used due to road
construction or toll charges.

PTV Intertour Compact, the planning software for depot-related trips, is the ideal tool for logistics companies with smaller vehicle fleets.

The automatic route and vehicle scheduling function quickly provides the dispatcher with cost-efficient trip suggestions. As a result,
driving times and trip duration are minimized and vehicle capacities are used in an extremely efficient manner. The software also calculates toll fees.
