Richmond Hill, Ontario – April 15, 2010: PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of geo-imaging software and systems is pleased to announce it has won the Geospatial Innovator Award from GeoTec Media for its GeoConference software solution, as publicized at the GeoTec Event in Toronto, ON.
This award is presented to a geospatial tool developer that has created new software or hardware that expands the possibilities of the geospatial industry. GeoConference allows groups to share and view maps and images interactively over the web, in real-time. It contains tools for hosting interactive geospatial teleconferences, linking clients in remote locations and facilitating connections to geospatial databases.
PCI Geomatics won the Geospatial Innovator Award previously in 2009 for GeoImaging Accelerator (formerly ProLines GeoImaging Server).
“It is an honour to be recognized by GeoTec Media, two years in a row, for our ground-breaking technology,” said Terry Moloney, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at PCI Geomatics. “GeoConference provides leading edge geospatial web conferencing abilities by bringing together various departments in real-time, for effective decision making and cost cutting initiatives.”
