OnPoint 6.2 has added customization capabililities

MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA - AUGUST 01, 2008 - Orion Technology, a Division of Rolta Company Ltd., today announced that the latest release of its flagship product OnPoint, version 6.2, marks the introduction of the OnPoint Software Developer Kit (SDK) to OnPoint's growing capabilities. Along with the arrival of enhanced thematic mapping, OnPoint SDK is the perfect compliment for GIS development in today's ever changing marketplace, and is only available with the latest version of Orion's OnPoint.

The OnPoint SDK enables users with the ability to customize functionality to complement the extensive functionality OnPoint currently offers. Users are able to extend OnPoint in areas which include User Interface Customization, Functions to Manage Search/Selection Results, as well as the ability to perform Authentication/Authorization of Customer Components. Orion's product manager Daniel Houle says "The SDK will allow our partners and customers to extend OnPoint and bi-directional integration capabilities at the application layer using SOAP and REST web services."

With the addition of OnPoint SDK to the newest release of OnPoint users are given the ability to improve on their GIS by applying out-of-the-box implementation capabilities, advanced security, and powerful administration tools for customizing and managing your web portal. Since the introduction of OnPoint™ there have been numerous advancements in development and the inclusion of OnPoint SDK brings GIS customization to the next level.
