Oce TrueProof full color capabilities

Venlo, The Netherlands, 16 March 2010 - Oce, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced the latest improvements to its solution for soft proofing in highly-productive digital print environments. In today's highly flexible and cost-sensitive printing environments, it is essential to have the appropriate application ready in next to no time.

Soft proofing the answer to complexity and cost

"With the increasing demand for full color in almost every kind of application, from statements to complex mailings and brochures, the applications become more complex," said Crit Driessen, Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, Oce Production Printing. "As a consequence, the production equipment becomes more expensive and quality demands increase. These challenges call for one essential part of the workflow - soft proofing."

Oce TrueProof reduces costly reprints and production downtime

Soft proofing ensures the application works on the chosen printer. Application designers fit their applications into a pre-printed form and Prepress specialists safeguard that a complex imposing scheme has the correct recto/verso page registration. Otherwise, costly reprints or downtime of production equipment results. Oce TrueProof provides a solution to overcome these challenges.

Customers assess costs beforehand thanks to Oce TrueProof

Oce TrueProof is more than just a simple viewer. It simulates in a pixel-exact manner the complete portfolio of Oce high-performance printers with their features and options, reflecting their operational functionalities. Oce TrueProof also enables the calculation of color coverage before applications enter production. This new improvement helps customers to estimate their costs beforehand, avoiding surprises during or after production.

Oce TrueProof simulates pre-printed forms, permits viewing of recto/verso page registration, emulates Oce CustomTone as well as full color, and can be integrated with virtually any kind of Output Management System.

There are hundreds of customers all over the world who use Oce TrueProof for their daily work, saving time and money by proofing applications before starting the actual production process and safeguarding output quality.
