Océ ColorWave 600: a BERTL star is born

Venlo, The Netherlands, 11 December 2008 — Océ, an international leader in digital document management, has received an outstanding 4.5 star BERTL evaluation as well as the BERTL’s Best 2008 Award for best innovative and new technology wide format printer. The BERTL 4.5 star outstanding certification, along with the recognition of the new Océ CrystalPoint technology as a BERTL’s Best 2008, further acknowledges the worldwide success of Océ’s innovative power in product & technology development.

Outstanding 4.5 Star BERTL rating

After rigorous testing and evaluation, BERTL has recognized the global success of the Océ ColorWave 600 and Océ CrystalPoint technology with a 4.5 star Outstanding product rating. Specifically, BERTL noted the excellent combination of fast production speed in color and B&W with excellent output quality. On ease of use, BERTL stated that replacing the Océ TonerPearl cartridge “….is the easiest and fastest way we have seen…”, and when adding the ease of media handling and access to printed output, all aspects show a truly easy to use, green button color printer.
BERTL’s Best 2008

In addition to the Outstanding product rating, Océ has received a BERTL’s Best 2008 award for the Océ ColorWave 600 stating it is the best innovative and new technology printer in 2008. BERTL’s Best Award winners are selected after rigorous analysis of the hundreds of digital imaging devices, software and management utilities on the worldwide market. While print and copy speeds are important, it is the feature set, functionality, performance, and overall value to users that are the key considerations in judging which product is BERTL's Best. “With the Océ ColorWave 600 printer we found a very exciting new technology in the Océ CrystalPoint technology and a surprisingly good color matching even when printing on regular paper,” said Henrik Vestermark, BERTL director of Wide Format. “Add to that the performance of 4 ‘D’ sizes per minute in color and you have an excellent mid volume color printer suitable for any production environment.”
