Richmond Hill, Ontario – September 4, 2009: PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of geo-imaging software and systems, is pleased to announce the signing of a license server renewal with Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) Earth Sciences Sector.
The new licensing arrangement greatly simplifies access to Geomatica tools for NRCan’s Earth Sciences Sector and Canada Centre for Remote Sensing scientists located across Canada. Users connect to a centralized server which controls the access to the purchased licenses when they invoke the Geomatica software tools. This has significantly streamlined license maintenance efforts within the department, and provides simple access to new Geomatica 10.2 desktop software modules.
Geomatica is PCI Geomatics’ advanced geo-imaging desktop software for remote sensing, digital photogrammetry, raster spatial analysis, map production, mosaicking and automated production workflows.
“NRCan’s Earth Sciences Sector, Canada Centre for Remote Sensing and PCI Geomatics have sustained a strong technical and business relationship, and we look forward to continuing to provide their scientists with the best image processing software on the market,” said Deborah Panagopoulos, Account Executive at PCI Geomatics.
“We are very satisfied with the technical support and management of the license server that we have received from PCI Geomatics,” said Jean-Claude Deguise, Section Head, Canada Centre for Remote Sensing.
