Call for expression of interest for Seconded National Experts with focus on New Member States, Candidate Countries and non EU countries associated to FP7
Three positions as Seconded National Experts are open in the SDI unit.
INSPIRE Action
An Expert is sought that is willing to assist the SDI unit in outreach activities to facilitate the implementation of INSPIRE. The expert should support the development of the INSPIRE Communication Strategy with focus on New Member States, Candidate Countries and Neighbouring Countries that are particularly concerned by the INSPIRE implementation. The expert should help in assessing impact, understanding obstacles and bottlenecks to be addressed, and support the INSPIRE capacity building programme by preparing guidance material and organising/supporting National INSPIRE information days. S/he should establish liaison with INSPIRE National Contact Points and provide technical advice to address issues of particular concern. Additional information
An Expert is sought that is willing to assist the SDI unit in writing the INSPIRE technical Implementing Rules, preparing guidelines for the implementation and setting up and co-ordinating pilot activities. S/he must focus on New Member States, Candidate Countries and Neighbouring Countries by monitoring on going development related to geo-information services, evaluating on going geo-spatial standardisation processes that are relevant for INSPIRE development; providing support to the development of INSPIRE specifications for interoperability of spatial data and services, evaluating the impact of INSPIRE specifications and providing ad hoc technical advice to address critical technical issues or issues of particular concern.
COSIN Action
An Expert is sought that is willing to assist the SDI unit in establish contacts with relevant bodies in New Member States, Accession Countries and Neighbouring Countries to support the creation and validation of image2006 and to start defining and implementing pilot services based on image2006. S/he should leverage existing geospatial data and metadata resources through the specification, testing and development of INSPIRE compliant network services including, where appropriate, collaboration with national public authorities and research institutions. The call does not have a fixed deadline. Each position will remain open at least until 1st October 2007 (midnight CET). Following this date, some positions may remain open if no suitable or eligible candidate has been found. In any case, no positions will be kept open after 31 March 2008.
