You're probably familiar with the accuracy and precision of Intermap Technologies' NEXTMap® Britain elevation dataset: all of England, Scotland, and Wales to a vertical accuracy of 1.0m RMSE (0.7m RMSE in southeast England).
While those specifications are ideal for many geospatial purposes within Great Britain, Intermap recognises the need for an even greater level of precision for applications in urban or flood-prone areas.
I'm pleased to announce the availability of NEXTMap® Britain v2.0, a fused dataset comprised of Intermap's IFSAR data and other
high-resolution elevation data providing enhanced coverage for about 60,000 square kilometres of England and Wales.
NEXTMap Britain v2.0 is truly a "fit-for-purpose" dataset: the vertical accuracy of the fused data is 25 cm RMSE, but the individual tiles are only 16Mb in size - making it ideal for Web-based applications and to reduce file storage commitments.
