October 22, 2007 - After successful integration in Oracle Database 10g, availability of NAVTEQ map data in Oracle Database 11g will accelerate Enterprise Application Development in Europe
NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions (LBS), today announced that it will be offering NAVTEQ map data in Oracle® Spatial 11g geocoding, routing and mapping format for location-enabling enterprise solutions.
The deployment of Oracle Database 11g with NAVTEQ map data will support applications such as business intelligence, utilities, field service, insurance, finance, transportation, and communications. As a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork and as an Oracle Database 11g beta program participant, NAVTEQ worked with Oracle to ensure that its map data, its line of real-time traffic products, NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns™, and NAVTEQ Transport™ fully support the extended data schemas in Oracle Spatial 11g in Europe.
