October 22, 2007 - After successful integration in Oracle Database 10g, availability of NAVTEQ map data in Oracle Database 11g will accelerate Enterprise Application Development in Europe

NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions (LBS), today announced that it will be offering NAVTEQ map data in Oracle® Spatial 11g geocoding, routing and mapping format for location-enabling enterprise solutions.

The deployment of Oracle Database 11g with NAVTEQ map data will support applications such as business intelligence, utilities, field service, insurance, finance, transportation, and communications. As a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork and as an Oracle Database 11g beta program participant, NAVTEQ worked with Oracle to ensure that its map data, its line of real-time traffic products, NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns™, and NAVTEQ Transport™ fully support the extended data schemas in Oracle Spatial 11g in Europe.

“NAVTEQ has had a long standing business and technology relationship with Oracle. With our map data availability in Oracle Database 10g and the current development with 11g, together NAVTEQ and Oracle support and accelerate the deployment of digital map databases at the heart of the Enterprise,” commented Eric Fumat, Vice President – Enterprise Europe, NAVTEQ.
