NAVTEQ Launches Private Beta Programme

Chicago – August 2, 2010 – NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of maps, traffic and location data enabling navigation, location-based services and mobile advertising around the world, announced today a private beta programme to preview NAVTEQ JourneyView™, in preparation for general availability of the product in early 2011. In the private beta, customers will have the opportunity to preview the data and provide feedback that will ultimately influence final product specifications.

The private beta programme provides customers access to the NAVTEQ JourneyView product, including sample source imagery, image overlays, 3D depth maps and POI interface, as well as technical support to assist them in maximising the product’s full potential.

“This programme is a great example of how NAVTEQ works closely with our customers to define solutions that will create value for their consumers and help them differentiate from their competitors”, says Tiffany Treacy, vice president of global product management.

NAVTEQ JourneyView is a unique combination of interactive 360 degree street-level imagery linked to the NAVTEQ® map and POI content for urban exploration, navigation, LBS applications and location based advertising. It will be the first new offering to take advantage of capabilities enabled by the recently deployed NAVTEQ True™ collection technology. The product will enable customers to create new and differentiated experiences, providing consumers with relevant, timely and location aware information.
