Aurora, Colorado – Dec. 8, 2009 - Merrick & Company is collecting light detection and ranging (LiDAR) mapping data over a 206-square-mile area located in southern Texas for Rosetta Resources. Rosetta Resources is an independent oil and gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of natural gas properties in North America. The data will be used in conjunction with a newly acquired 116-square-mile, 3-D seismic survey to assist Rosetta in its ongoing exploration and development activities in South Texas.
Merrick & Company has a lengthy history in land surveying and mapping (Merrick Geospatial Technologies). Among the firm’s current work, the geospatial business unit is providing land surveying and/or airborne mapping services to the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture, Xcel Energy, the Western Area Power Administration, and the Colombian (South America) Navy.
