Merrick Awarded New Contracts

Aurora, CO – May 18, 2010 – Merrick & Company has been awarded several new contracts including the following:

The GeoSpatial Solutions group Merrick GeoSpatial Solutions will be providing color digital orthophotography covering 1,240 square miles along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Mississippi and will be providing light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and elevation data for two levees along that same waterway for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. The firm is also providing multi-spectral satellite imagery covering 11,000 square kilometers in Colombia, South America for Ecopetrol S.A. to perform remote sensing analysis to detect potential oil seep locations.

The firm’s Military & Government group Merrick Military & Government Facilities was awarded a multi-year contract by the State of Texas to design ranges for the Texas Guard. Merrick has developed multiple range training facilities, including urban warfare training complexes.

The University of Tennessee awarded Merrick’s Life Sciences group Merrick Life Sciences a contract for standard operating procedures and commissioning for their regional containment laboratory. The firm will also be providing commissioning of Salk Hall for the University of Pittsburgh.

Merrick’s Civil Engineering Solutions group Merrick Civil Engineering Solutions was selected by The City & County of Denver’s Wastewater Management Division to provide on-call construction management services for stormwater improvement projects over the next three to six months.
