Aurora, Colorado – November 18, 2009 - Merrick & Company has been awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. The five-year IDIQ is for land surveying and mapping services (Merrick Geospatial Technologies) to support the military, civil works, and other programs of the Mobile District and the South Atlantic Division. Work may include projects in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee and include land and hydrographic surveying, airborne topographic light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and imagery collection, photogrammetric services, and geographic information system (GIS) services.
Merrick & Company has a lengthy history in land surveying and mapping. Among the firm’s current work, the geospatial business unit is providing land surveying and/or airborne mapping services to the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture, Xcel Energy, the Western Area Power Administration, and the Colombian (South America) Navy.
