Masternaut launches iPhone vehicle tracking app

Masternaut has launched the world’s first feature rich web-based vehicle tracking service for the Apple iPhone and iPad. This is the first in a series of free apps for Apple products from the global telematics and mobile resource management innovator.

The Masternaut Rapide app for iPhone provides the core functionalities of the live Masternaut service to managers on the move. It provides an essential real-time link to important operational information whenever they are away from the office.

The Masternaut app makes real-time and historic vehicle information available to iPhone and iPad users. Managers can use this information to monitor the exact movement of their entire fleet, with instant updates tracked by global positioning satellites. The system can also locate and monitor individual vehicles as well as provide their movement histories. For the mobile engineer, it gives an instant view of their nearest colleagues, customer contacts and next job.
