MapWindow 4.7 Release Candidate has just been posted to our download page at the link below. Please feel free to try it out and send your feedback through the forum or through the bug tracking system at the links below. As usual, all source code is available to explore, using the instructions at the source code link below.
There are a number of updates to the desktop application as well as the core programmable components in this release.
Also... please consider a trip to Australia this Fall. FOSS4G 2009 (the leading annual conference on Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial) is going to be in Sydney, Australia, October 20-23, 2009.
This will be our 4th year having a MapWindow project representation there. Please come join us and show the FOSS4G community what this
project is all about. They are accepting workshop and tutorials as well as traditional presentations. Please consider submitting an abstract on your work involving MapWindow. The announcement is at the URL below.
