Mangalore University, India, selects SuperGeo

SuperGeo, a leading provider of complete GIS software again extends to Indian market by means of SuperGeo Mobile GIS Expert, a product integrating mobile GIS software, SuperPad, with rugged PDA, PS 535F. The product is selected by the Ocean Science & Technology Cell in Mangalore University through Spaceinfo, SuperGeo’s exclusive reseller in Karnataka State, India, and is expected to be utilized to support naval research and teaching.

Ranked as a four-star institute by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Mangalore University provides higher education and conducts research in various fields.

The Ocean Science & Technology Cell, one of departments in Mangalore University, acts as a nodal agency for reviewing and recommending research projects in the field of Marine Geology and Geophysics. Because the staff often encounters bad marine weather in surveying, so the department is looking for a suitable solution to increate their work efficiency.

SuperGeo Mobile GIS Expert offers the full-function mobile GIS software, SuperPad, with a rugged PDA device and has already impressed many users, especially in Asian markets. The product equips field workers and surveyors with a water proof, anti-dust, and anti-impact mobile device, so users can effectively complete field work even under bad environment or foul weather.
