Rockville, MD – April 16, 2009 – MDA Federal Inc., the world leader in the utilization of remote sensing data from aircraft and satellites and the largest commercial provider of enhanced satellite imagery, is pleased to announce that David Beddoe has joined the marketing team as Director of Defense and Intelligence Program Development. In this role he will be responsible for designing and creating geospatial solutions in support of U.S. Defense and Intelligence activities worldwide. This is a newly created position to expand upon the growth of MDA Federal’s services and products in the Defense and Intelligence market. Mr. Beddoe reports to Roger Mitchell, VP Program Development. In addition to his program development role, David is a member of the MDA Federal senior leadership team.
With over 25 years of cartographic and geospatial experience, David joins directly from partner MetaCarta, where he led the Partner Alliance program in the public sector. Prior to this, David was geospatial product manager and SME with IBM Software Group, Data Management, and also a regional manager for ESRI during the 90’s contributing to the significant growth of that organization in federal programs, education, state/local government, and open standards leadership (as OGC liaison).
