Norcross, GA — Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging announces its participation at the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) 19th International Geophysical Conference and Exhibition, November 18-22, 2007 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in Western Australia.
Exhibiting in booth #43, Leica Geosystems is demonstrating several innovative solutions, combining new and existing technology implementing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Leica Geosystems is also highlighting ER Mapper Professional and ERDAS IMAGINE®, the industry’s foremost remote sensing solutions, and Image Web Server (IWS), a specialized server application that quickly and efficiently distributes large volumes of geospatial image data. Other featured solutions include the Beta release of Leica TITAN, IMAGINE AutoSync™ and RedSpider Suite, a new product in Leica Geosystems’ portfolio, technology recently acquired from IONIC.
“The ASEG conference provides an important platform for discussing geospatial information and services related to the oil and gas industry,” said Guy Perkins, Senior Vice President, Global Services, Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging. “By integrating and combining Leica Geosystems and ER Mapper’s remote sensing and enterprise strengths, our solutions address a broader scope of business needs.”
With the assistance of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA) and the Formation Evaluation Society of Australia (FESAus), the ASEG conference is one of the world’s leading resource exploration geophysics forums. This annual conference is strategically held in Perth, the center of the oil and gas industry of Australia and the exploration base for the majority of mining companies in Australia.
