Satellite coverage generated using IRS data of 2007-2008 (spatial resolution of 5.8 m) was expanded on the kosmosnimki.ru geoportal: the service posted satellite mosaics for the territory of Republic of Karelia (with exception of the southern areas) and the western areas of Arkhangelsk Region.
Now the kosmosnimki.ru geoportal features IRS satellite mosaics covering the Central, Southern, Privolzhsky Federal Districts and western areas of the Russian European North. Available also are highly detailed IKONOS data (0.8 meter resolution) for the territory of large Russian and Ukrainian cities: Kazan, Kaliningrad, Kemerovo, Magnitogorsk, Makhachkala, Moscow, Nalchik, Novokuznetsk, Novorossiysk, Samara, Saint-Petersburg, Simferopol, Tolyatti, Ufa, Kharkov, etc.
We remind that the geoportal provides basis for an on-line shop, where anybody interested could purchase mosaics or their fragments: available are IRS coverages for the territory of the Central, Southern, Privolzhsky Federal Districts as well as IKONOS coverages for 55 cities of Russia and the Ukraine. Starting June 1 the price of satellite mosaics sold in the on-line shop is reduced by 50%.
As the kosmosnimki.ru geoportal base coverage was expanded the developers of the resource decided to run a quiz. By giving right answer(s) participants will receive a discount for purchasing mosaics fragments in the on-line shop.
In addition to on-line purchases of IRS, IKONOS and SPOT satellite coverages in GeoTiff format they could be ordered directly in the ScanEx Center at sales@scanex.ru or by phone +7(495)739-73-85.
