The upcoming conference – scheduled for April 26 - 28, 2009 at Abu Dhabi Nat ional Exhibit ion Center –will address various issues related to the theme “Geospat ial @Work”. At the conference will be highlighted the latest t rends in the geospat ial technology and the applicat ions and ut ilit ies of geospat ial information in different fields will also be showcased.

Dr. Yi So-yeon (born June 2, 1978) is a South Korean scient ist and Ph.D. graduate of KAIST (Korea Advanced Inst itute of Science and Technology). On April 8, 2008, she became the first Korean and the second Asian woman to fly in space, after Chiaki Mukai of Japan.
