In line with the rapid development of the Group’s activities, the Board of Directors announced, on 14th February 2008, the appointment of Mr. Jean Gabriel as CEO of the STAR-APIC International Group.
Jean Gabriel, 47, has many years experience in the fields of ICT and cartographic publishing. He was the CEO of De Rouck Geomatics, the leading Belgian cartographic publisher; Marketing Vice-Chairman of Telenet Solutions, the B2B Division of Telenet; Director of the ‘Central Telecoms’ Division of Belgacom , and Manager of WIN, the Belgacom Walloon subsidiary specialising in IP networks services for businesses.
On the same day, Mr. Issam Tannous, Director General of STAR-APIC France, was appointed as Director General of the Group.
Jean Gabriel stated, « As a leading publisher of GIS software, the STAR-APIC International Group has the potential for rapid development in growing international markets. STAR-APIC offers a large range of innovative products for sharing and evaluating spatial data, along with teams experienced in implementing large-scale GIS projects”.
