Introducing the New-Generation Leveling Lasers

Introducing the New-Generation Leveling Lasers

ALMERE, The Netherlands, June 2009, SOKKIA BV, European head office, proudly announces the release of the new generation leveling lasers, the LP410, LP415 and LP415S. SOKKIA has added three new products to its highly popular LP Series of rotating lasers for leveling applications in construction and building. These new products provide improved durability, reliability, and ease of operation for higher efficiency in a variety of leveling applications, from large-scale construction to interior work.

Main Features

1. High-speed Self-leveling

These models incorporate an electronic self-leveling system that allows simple one key operation.
• Self-leveling time has been significantly shortened for higher work efficiency.
• In contrast to pendulum- and gimbal-type leveling systems based on gravity, a stable laser beam is emitted even at sites with persistent subtle vibrations.

2. Visible Red Laser

• A red light visible in the laser-emission window clearly confirms the operation status, even at a distance. In conventional invisible lasers, it was unclear if the laser was rotating or stopped except at close range, resulting in confirmation difficulties whenever operation stopped.
• For interior work, the red beam projected on a wall surface enables higher work efficiency by precisely positioning the laser detector from the initial stages.

3. Enhanced Performance in Demanding Environments

• These models provide dust- and water-resistance that meet the IEC “IP56” rating for usage in sites exposed to fine dust particles in addition to providing protection against sudden rain showers.
• Whereas the former models had a minimum operating temperature of -10°C (14°F), these new products can operate in frigid environments down to -20°C (-4°F), ensuring maximum performance at winter worksites.
• The compact, lightweight design with low center of gravity improves portability as well as stability.

4. LR200 Advanced Laser Detector

• Detection sensitivity has been enhanced from ±0.7 mm in the previous model to ±0.5 mm for more precise leveling.
• “Triple guides” of the LCD screens, LEDs, and a buzzer clearly notify the beam position.
• 9-channel LCD display allows you to find how far from the on-grade height in 5-mm units without moving the detector.
• New three-color LEDs make it easy to locate the beam position even in dim locations and at a distance.

5. Three Available Types Focus on Precision, Range, and Functions

• The LP410 is a high-precision model with a horizontal accuracy of 10 arc-seconds.
• The operating range has a diameter of 500 m, making it ideal for large-scale land preparation and foundation work.
• The LP415 is a general-purpose model with an operating range of 300 m and horizontal accuracy of 15 arcseconds.
• The LP415S has a single-axis slope-setting capability for point-matching slope works in a range of ±8.7% (±5°).

Extended Warranty

The LP410, LP415 and LP415S as well as the LR200 detector come with an extended warranty. These new models count a 5-years warranty compared to the regular 3-year warranty for the rest of the Sokkia portfolio.
