Intergraph's Jack Pellicci for National Committee

Intergraph

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Mar. 8, 2010 - Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I) division Senior Vice President Jack Pellicci has been appointed to serve on the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC), a Federal Advisory Committee sponsored by the Department of the Interior.

Brig. Gen. Pellicci, U.S. Army (Ret.), is also general manager of the company's Federal, Security & Intelligence business unit which provides geospatial solutions and services to the federal and defense and intelligence community.

Pellicci will serve a three year term on the committee, which is led by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. The committee is charged with shaping policy and setting priorities for U.S. geospatial initiatives, including the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, a technology framework for cost-effective and efficient communication involving geospatially related information.

"The appointment of Jack Pellicci to the National Geospatial Advisory Committee underscores Intergraph's position as a leading, global provider of geospatially powered solutions to government and industry," said John K. Graham, president, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. "I am confident that Jack's wealth of geospatial knowledge and industry acumen will be an asset to the NGAC as they shape our nation's geospatial programs."

In addition to providing geospatial enabled software to the federal government, Intergraph also serves state and local governments, and the public safety, security, transportation, photogrammetry, utilities and communications industries.

Since 1996, Pellicci has served on the Board of Directors of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). Additionally, Pellicci serves on the Board of Directors of the National Defense University Foundation and the USO.
