Intergraph ranks 57 in InformationWeek 500 table

Monarch Beach, CA, September 18, 2008 - InformationWeek has ranked Intergraph 57th on its prestigious InformationWeek 500 list for the company's innovative use of technology. Intergraph rose to nearly the top 10 percent of the national list since it was first included last year.

The rankings were announced during the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference on Sept. 15, 2008 at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, CA.

"It is truly an honor for Intergraph and a tribute to our outstanding IT team to have risen so quickly on this important industry list," said Intergraph President and CEO Halsey Wise. "This recognition serves as a testament to Intergraph's innovative use of technology and to our people who continue to develop the world's leading geospatial and engineering solutions."

"In 2008, Intergraph undertook several innovative software integration projects for mission-critical applications used throughout the company," said Bill Johnson, vice president of global information technology at Intergraph. "In addition to significantly reducing technology costs, this innovation contributed to record customer and prospect interest and attendance at our annual international user conference, Intergraph 2008."

In addition to other global integration projects, Intergraph was recognized by InformationWeek for its marketing IT initiatives of integrating sales force automation software with its campaign management system via Web form re-posting instead of through classic, custom integration. The company also applied the same approach to integrate its conference registration system with sales force automation software, providing Intergraph's global sales organization with real-time visibility into which customers had registered for Intergraph 2008. Not having to wait for registration reports to be generated, the sales force could immediately identify and reach out to customers who had not yet registered, which contributed to the dramatic increase in attendance that Intergraph experienced for its user conference this year.

"For 20 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative users of business technology," said InformationWeek Editor-in-Chief Rob Preston. "Year after year, InformationWeek 500 companies harness technology to improve efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue, and establish a competitive advantage. We applaud this year's winners, and the CIOs and other executives whose ingenuity and risk taking are at the center of business technology innovation."

InformationWeek has identified and honored the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual listing, now in its 20th year, and has tracked the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America's best-known companies. The list is unique among corporate rankings because it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
