ITT releases ENVI Service Pack

Boulder, CO – Mar 1, 2010 - ITT Visual Information Solutions, a subsidiary of ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT), announced the release of ENVI 4.7 Service Pack 1(ENVI 4.7 SP1), a new update for ENVI that allows users to quickly and easily access all the image processing and analysis functionality of ENVI from the ENVI Zoom Dynamic Display Interface.

This update allows scientists and image analysts across industries to more readily find actionable information in geospatial imagery by using the "ENVI Favorites Toolbox," a new application view available in ENVI Zoom that can be easily customized to include frequently used advanced ENVI procedures and functions that were previously available only in the ENVI 3-window display.

In addition to the advanced functionality delivered by the ENVI Favorites Toolbox, ENVI 4.7 SP1 also includes new spectral processing and analysis capabilities including automated workflows for analyzing hyperspectral data and support for imagery and data from the new WorldView-2 satellite. The service pack also provides valuable new visualization tools, such as mensuration, optimized linear stretch capabilities, and enhanced performance for data in the JPIP format.

"The ENVI 4.7 Service Pack 1 is part of our continued commitment to provide imagery professionals who depend on ENVI with high performance analysis and processing tools in an intuitive image display that improves workflows and delivers the superior results ENVI is known for," said Beau Legeer, director of product marketing for ITT Visual Information Solutions.

The release of ENVI 4.7 SP1 marks the introduction of ENVI Service Packs, which ITT will release between major software updates to more quickly deliver functional improvements, updates, and bug fixes to ENVI users.
