Leipzig: Thoralf Obst, Managing Director of the GEOMAGIC GmbH, presented a cheque over 1650 Euros to staff members of the non-profit organisation FAIRbund e.V. A project called “Kinder FAIRstehen” (understanding children) will be supported with this money. Since 2005 the organisation offers courses for deprived mothers and fathers or underage parents. The courses inform about family rituals, roles of family members but also about preventing children from taking drugs.
“The early support for families with problems is important. This allows both parties to work on a positive surrounding for living together” sais Thoralf Obst. He is pleased about the customers’ reactions. Instead of receiving Christmas presents they are embracing the decision of donations.
“It is our desire to offer help to hardly reached target groups such as educationally deprived or underage parents, single parents or families with special budens like unemployment, illness or drug addiction. That’s why we have developed these courses. We are trying to tackle the problems and want to show opportunities to improve the situations in the families” explains Silke Hirschfeld, spokeswoman of FAIRbund.
