IGN France International at IMAGINA 2009

IGN FRANCE INTERNATIONAL WILL PRESENT
ITS 3D SOLUTION IN THE URBAN PLANNING FIELD

Today, 50% of the world's population lives in urban areas. By 2030, this figure will reach
81%.

Urban problems, i.e. how the community will have to manage the growing pressure that
is exerted on the development of their territory, require tools that allow us to see the bigger picture and medium term management. Very often, buildings emerge without
taking into account the existing buildings, existing infrastructural needs and without
consulting the various actors involved (citizens, communities, businesses service to
communities, architects, urban planners ...).

IGN France International, the specialist in geographic information, will present its 3D
solution designed to respond to the issues of professionals in land use and town planning.
Result of 10 years of R&D in IGN research laboratories, BATI3D is a high definition
production of the 3D data of buildings, and topologically exact. The data allows for many
types of simulations (new infrastructure, impact assessment, crisis management and
diagnostics) as well as the visualization of urban space.

A decision support, communication and consultation tool, the 3D solution can be
implemented to meet the needs that arise in many fields such as urban development,
environment, crisis management, etc.
With IGN FI 3D solution, you can:

- Promote the territory towards a wide range of audiences
- Manage your territory and its urban growth
- Propose alternatives

You can meet IGN France International on the IGN stand located near the main entrance of the exhibition site and attend the IGN France International workshop that will take place on February, 4th, from 5.45PM to 6.30PM, in the
exhibition hall.
