IDV Solutions at Microsoft’s Windows Azure Tour

Lansing, MI., September 15, 2009-IDV Solutions, a leading enterprise mashup and data visualization software company, today announced that Scott Caulk, Director of Product Management, will present at Microsoft’s Windows Azure World Tour 2009 in Reston, VA. The all-day event will be held at the Microsoft Technology Innovation Center and features focused discussion on cloud computing, the cloud platform context, Windows Azure’s place in it, and specific application scenarios.

IDV will present on taking advantage of Azure and different cloud-based data offerings to create value and bring agility to public sector and commercial organizations. Visualfusion.cloudapp.net is a publicly available mashup on Azure that demonstrates integrating content from sources like data.gov, the Open Government Data Initiative, and the Census Bureau, as well as virtually any internal or 3rd party source. IDV Solutions’ flagship product, Visual Fusion, facilitates this integration, and also provides a set of rich, intuitive Silverlight tools and controls to interact with the content. Users can also add their own web feeds and search results to the mashup on the fly, introducing ad hoc content to the mix. Visual Fusion is a flexible platform that can be used to rapidly develop data visualizations, interactive maps, dashboards, and common operational pictures; all for greater business intelligence and situational awareness.

“We are honored to be invited to present at this prestigious event,” commented Scott Caulk. “Azure is going to bring tremendous benefit to countless organizations and we plan on Visual Fusion being a part of that success. Interacting with the Microsoft partners and customers in Reston and the greater DC area is a great privilege, and I’m excited to show them the value that Visual Fusion and Azure can bring to their organizations.”
