Calgary, AB – January 6, 2010 – Hemisphere GPS has marked a strong start to 2010 with the company’s second consecutive recognition as one of Alberta’s fastest growing companies. The Fast Growth 50 list published in the January edition of Alberta Venture magazine ranked Hemisphere GPS 14th in the category Top 25 Over $20 million.
Members of the list, dubbed “Growth Champions” by the magazine, are comprised of two categories: over $20 million and under $20 million. The applicants’ relative growth is then calculated by increases in revenues, assets, profits and head count over the three fiscal years ending immediately before the application date of October 2009 – December 31, 2008 for Hemisphere GPS.
“2010 marks the company’s 20th anniversary of providing innovative GPS technology to our customers worldwide. The company has become bigger, stronger and faster in offering innovative product solutions to the precision positioning and machine control applications,” says Steven Koles, President and CEO of Hemisphere GPS. “We are in a great position for growth in 2010 and beyond, and we look forward to expanding our presence in both new and existing markets.”
Alberta Venture will host a gala award celebration in Edmonton on February 10, 2010 to officially celebrate the success of the Fast Growth 50 winners.
