Hemisphere GPS Wins Technology Green 15 Award

Calgary, AB — September 25, 2008— (TSX: HEM) Hemisphere GPS, a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced GPS products, was honored with the Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award at a ceremony in Calgary last night. The award recognizes companies creating innovative, important, and economically viable intellectual property in the burgeoning field of green technology. Deloitte Technology Green 15 companies are judged on technology solutions that deliver both a significant environmental impact and a compelling return on investment for their clients. Growers who utilize Hemisphere GPS ground agriculture Outback Guidance® technology realize a significant return on their investment. These products enable them to apply seed, fertilizer, and chemicals with precision; thus reducing overall input costs and waste. In turn, these savings have a positive impact on the environment as less fuel is utilized, fewer vehicle emissions are released and less chemicals are applied.

Also, Hemisphere GPS was named finalist for the Alberta Science and Technology (ASTech) Leadership Foundation Award for its outstanding commercial achievement in science and technology. The ASTech Awards are among the highest honors available to individuals and organizations whose outstanding work has had an impact on science, technology, business, medicine, the environment and the lives of people in Alberta and all over the world. The Award winners will be announced at the 2008 ASTech Gala on October 24, 2008, in Edmonton, Alberta.

“These awards represent our continued team effort to develop products and technology that offer a great value to our customers and partners, and have a positive environmental impact,” said Steven Koles, President and CEO of Hemisphere GPS. “We are honored and proud to receive these recognitions and to be in the company of several outstanding finalists and winners.”

Hemisphere GPS also enjoyed recognition in a number of awards recently. Earlier this year, Hemisphere GPS was recognized as one of Alberta’s Fast 50 by Alberta Venture magazine, and earlier this month, the company’s President and CEO was named one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 by CalgaryInc magazine.
