Handheld Group and Getac Technology Corporation

7 September 2009 - The Handheld Group and Getac Technology Corporation jointly announced today the beginning of a strategic partnership to expand rugged handheld business. This partnership will see co-branded products to be sold through Handheld’s extensive network of 250 authorised partners worldwide.

“Increasing our channel presence is a key element of our growth plan”, says James Hwang, the president of Getac Technology Corporation. “The Handheld Group has proven to be a leading supplier of rugged handheld solutions for field applications. We believe that this partnership will enable Getac to strengthen our existing distribution channel while at the same time expanding our technical and customer support by leveraging The Handheld Group’s existing partner networks", says James Hwang, the president of Getac Technology Corporation.

“We are thrilled to enter into a long term partnership with Getac. The experience, know-how and expertise in product development that we see from Getac are unsurpassed. Our commitment is to bring only the best rugged products to the market and our partnership with Getac ensures this”, says Jerker Hellström, CEO and Chairman of the Handheld Group.
