GeoMax steps into Europe

GeoMax steps into Europe

Widnau, 14 July 2008 – GeoMax, a Hexagon company, steps into Europe, following an all new approach regarding productivity: No more hard to learn and difficult user interfaces due to feature overload which cost time and money in training and everyday use, and no more instrument downtime and inaccurate measurements which have to be repeated! GeoMax now presents a whole range of affordable instruments for surveying, engineering and construction – without compromising on quality, but with a reasonable price level.

GeoMax is an internationally active company developing, manufacturing and distributing quality surveying instruments. Both occasional and professional users are addressed with GeoMax’s comprehensive portfolio of integrated instruments: easy-to-use, yet highly productive Total Stations, GPS, Lasers, Rotators, optical and digital Levels, related software and accessories for the surveying, engineering, construction, cadastre and GIS market.

State-of-the art instruments with optimal price-performance ratio

Being part of the Swedish Hexagon Group, a global technology group with strong market positions within measurement technologies, grants GeoMax’ access to state of the art development and production facilities in Europe, America and Asia. “Professionals in the surveying, engineering and construction segment face increasing competition. GeoMax’ aim is to provide these customers instruments that enable them to fulfill their task and maintain their productivity while optimizing costs”, says Ola Rollén, CEO Hexagon. “Affordable prices, without compromising on quality – this is GeoMax’ basic message.”

European distribution network starts in Turkey

GeoMax builds on an international network of qualified distribution partners. The first country to be approached was Turkey. “With continuing high growth rates in the region, Turkey provides an ideal start for GeoMax in Europe. The geographical and economical bridge function of Turkey, connecting Europe and Asia, enables GeoMax to spread into the region”, says Mr. Alois Geierlehner, Business Development Director at GeoMax.

With the Turkish dealer Geopos, GeoMax can rely on a partner with more than 25 years of experience in serving the needs of the Turkish surveying and construction market. “GeoMax perfectly complements our product range with highly productive instruments and ultimate price-performance ratio. The international background of GeoMax ensures that the instruments are both simple and meet the customers’ needs”, says Mr. Esat Güldiken, Sales & Marketing Manager at Geopos.

The second step for GeoMax will be Italy during summer 2008. “At the moment, apart from Turkey and Italy, we are building up our dealer network in several other European countries. GeoMax focuses on exclusive and well established distribution partners throughout Europe. “GeoMax products shall be distributed exclusively or complement our partners’ product range with highly productive instruments and ultimate price-performance ratio”, explains Mr. Geierlehner.
