General Dynamics Showcases at ESRI UC

General Dynamics provides tailored solutions built on innovative technology, helping customers succeed by leveraging GIS with the General Dynamics Enterprise Mapping Solution™ and the General Dynamics Itronix family of rugged computing products.

• General Dynamics Enterprise Mapping Solution (GDEMS) Mobile: is a proprietary enterprise mapping solution that allows users to input data from remote locations and share that information real-time. GDEMS is a flexible solution tailored to needs of the military, law enforcement, emergency responders and environmental professionals.
• General Dynamics Itronix family of rugged computing products: In a demonstration driven by three different General Dynamics Itronix rugged computing products and software by Marshall GIS, visitors will have an opportunity to (explanation).
o Featured computing products:
- Tadpole® TOPAZ: Designed for computer power-users, including emergency first responders, federal agents and the military, the new Tadpole® TOPAZ enables high-end computing and high-resolution, daylight viewable display at a COTS price.
- Duo-Touch® II: The Duo-Touch II is lightweight and ergonomically designed tablet-sized PC enabling one-handed operation using a touch-screen or stylus.
- Fully rugged, the Duo-Touch II is available with integrated mobile broadband wireless connectivity, GPS, fingerprint scanning and other options.
- GD6000: Weighing slightly more than six pounds, the vehicle-rugged GD6000 enables mobile computing capabilities including integrated GPS, Qualcomm’s Gobi™ global mobile Internet technology, WiFi, Bluetooth and an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9400 processor that is powerful enough to support real-time mapping, video and imagery common to law enforcement, utility workers and others whose job keeps them on the road. The GD6000 also features DynaVue™ daylight viewable screen that allows users to see the display clearly in full sunlight, without taxing battery life.
- GD8000: With many of the computing and networking capabilities of the GD6000, the GD8000 meets and in many cases, exceeds military rugged computing requirements that are part of MIL-STD 810G. Watertight and shock mounted, the GD8000 enables wireless connectivity with the processing horsepower and memory needed to easily handle GPS mapping, streaming video, image processing and other complex computing operations.
