GSA Pricing for CartoPac Field Solutions Available

Fort Collins, Colorado - July 13, 2010 – CartoPac Field Solutions announced today that they have been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Schedule 70 Contract. Under the five year contract, CartoPac Field Solutions will be listed as an approved vendor and will provide powerful office to field data collection and asset inventory & maintenance solutions to federal, state, and local governments.

“Being on the GSA list will open up opportunities to federal, state and local government agencies to start utilizing a proven asset management solutions to get the data they need at a low cost,” says Glenn Vlass, president of CartoPac Field Solutions. He continues, “More importantly, these solutions are flexible to evolve with changing needs, plus are backed by both field and office users. This says a lot about the products!”

CartoPac technology helps people map their assets and streamlines field data collection at an enterprise level by structuring workflows and enabling the field user to capture the required data the office team requires. CartoPac Mobile software makes it easier to capture data in the field by decreasing the time needed for data collection, and increasing cost savings for field projects. Users can connect the mobile solutions with a diverse set of databases, such as SDE, Oracle, Geodatabase, etc., and are enabled with both web-based server and desktop deployment options.

Other features that CartoPac users enjoy are: enhanced GPS metadata as more attributes are automatically added; the ability to store additional parameters returned from measurement data; and the improved automatic post-processing. Also, field users can switch between multiple raster images as they move between scale thresholds, enabling users to access many different types of maps seamlessly in the field, which makes the field worker’s job easier.

The GSA Contract number GS-35F-0400W is effective May 2010 to May 2015. Government customers can find these products on the GSA Advantage.com. CartoPac Field Solutions products are offered under the Special Item Numbers (SIN): 13233, 13234, 13250, and 13251.
