GGP Systems Appoints Peter Roper

GGP Systems has appointed Peter Roper to the position of Senior Transformational Government Consultant for the UK. An experienced geospatial professional, Peter will work with both existing and potential users of GGP’s GIS, Gazetteer Management Software and t-Government solutions to maximise their potential and deliver a return on investment.

Peter Roper has in-depth knowledge of the Telecommunications, Utilities and Government sectors having held senior positions with COLT Telecommunications, MoD Defence Estates plus a number of Local Authorities.

Peter Roper will join an existing team of Consultants providing valuable procurement, project management and implementation experience and expertise. Working closely with both current and potential users Peter will review existing IT infrastructure, data holdings and working practices, identify opportunities to maximise potential and achieve greater returns on investment.

“Peter brings valuable expertise from the user side of our core market; Local Government, as well as increasingly important sectors such as telecommunications, utilities and central government,” commented Tim Maxwell, founder and Managing Director of GGP Systems. “He is a respected professional with a proven track record delivering a range of projects including PAI, software implementation and data management.”
