GEOKOSMOS at Map India 2007 LIDAR Workshop

19.01.2008 - GEOKOSMOS will be participating in Map India, the most successful series of conferences and exhibitions on geospatial technologies held in India since 1998. This year it will be held in Greater Noida, 6-8 February. Map India is an important event in the world of Geoinformatics and GEOKOSMOS has been participating in Map India on a regular basis starting from 2004 – showcasing the best of its technologies at the exhibition, sharing experience and reporting on the latest projects at the conference, interacting with the industry professionals.

However, the year of 2008 will be marked for GEOKOSMOS by a principally new form of participation – they company is LiDAR Workshop "Laser Scanning and Digital Aerial Photography – Effective Solution for Indian Economy" on February 7th. The booming Indian Economy today faces the need for high accuracy Geospatial data to sustain its growth across various industries and economic sectors. This need is intensified with time and cost constraints in order to keep pace with the set deadlines. To meet the high precision Geospatial data requirement, Geokosmos brings forth an array of effective tools and technologies.

The Geokosmos workshop shall elaborate on the advantages and benefits of Airborne Laser Scanning in conjunction with Digital Aerial Photography. The various outputs viz. the 3D Models, generated from this captured data would be discussed in detail during the workshop. The workshop shall also detail the LiDAR - Terrestrial Laser Scanning technology with 3D Model generation

The wide range of applications and benefits of the said technology in the Indian context will be presented through various case studies. The case studies are based on actual project experience and portray the extensive experience held by Geokosmos in this arena.
