Brandenburg/Havel - Munich, Germany, August 23, 2010 - RapidEye, the only geospatial solutions provider to own and operate a constellation of five identical Earth Observation satellites, announced today that GAF AG has signed a partnership agreement with RapidEye to be its data distributor in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
John Ahlrichs, Vice President of RapidEye commented, "With this partnership, we stand to benefit from GAF's extensive experience in promoting and selling image data in this region. We anticipate GAF's existing network of partners will quickly result in increased sales of RapidEye data in this area."
Dr. Peter Volk, CEO of GAF said, "We are happy to add such an important and unique data source in the frame of a partnership agreement to our portfolio of Earth Observation data and products. This underpins GAF's outstanding
positioning in the German and European market. We are sure to use this technology to the benefit of our agriculture, forestry, security, and environmental services."
