In the conference programme we offer technical tours to the Israel - Egypt and Israel - Jordan boundaries; to the research tunnel at Mount Amram; to the copper mines of Timna; and to the City of Eilat. They will all be most interesting, not only from professional, but also from tourist point of view.
The tours offered before, during and after the conference, will permit the participants to taste the tourist attractions of Israel, many of them important to Christians, Moslems and Jews, from the Northern areas of the country of Accre and Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee and Beit Shaan, through the centre of the three religions in Jerusalem, through the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea, the breathtaking Metzada down to Eilat and to Petra, in Jordan. All the mentioned sites and many others, draw many tourists from all over the world, amongst them the 3 millions who visited Israel in 2008.
The Licensed Surveyors Association in Israel – ALSI, our host association in Israel, has decided to offer three complimentary tickets for the excursion to Petra (on Saturday, 9 May 2008) and three complimentary tickets to the FIG Foundation Dinner (on Thursday 7 May 2009).
