Coventry, UK, - FARO is presenting innovative portable laser scanners, tools and software solutions under the company theme “Measure to Success” in Hall 4, Booth 112 at Intergeo, the leading trade show for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. The annual conference and trade fair is taking place this year in Bremen, Germany from 30th September – 2nd October.
Most notably, FARO, the leading provider of portable 3D measurement devices, will showcase the latest versions of:
The Photon Laser Scanner and modular upgrade options – the portable and fast laser scanner shows a 200 percent increase in accuracy, a highly improved outdoor range and a 300 percent reduction in noise levels compared to the previous model. Launched in February 2008, the laser scanner is specially designed to be used in industries such as Architecture, Process, Piping and Power, Aerospace, Automotive and Shipbuilding, Automated Quality Assurance Systems, Foundries, Forensic, Tunnel and Mining, as well as Object Reproduction.
FARO Scene enhancements – At Intergeo, professional users of the high performance and practical 3D point cloud software tool can learn about new accessories. Demonstrations will be available to showcase the more than 80 percent faster Colour Capture speed (3 minutes versus 15 minutes of former solutions) for very high quality and automatic overlays of 40 million colour pixels.
Together with software partners, FARO experts will offer customers and fair visitors demonstrations and information for software tools such as FARO Scout, for displaying 3D measurements and navigation, and Point Tools, for the animation of 3D images and CAD models. Audiences also interested in technology that provides a simplified way to access and navigate an immense amount of enterprise asset data, such as for the measurement of three-dimensional structure of plants, can inform themselves about the plant capture solution Reality Linx. The solution is based on INOVx Solutions’ advanced virtualisation technology.
“As a provider of the industry’s most advanced portable 3D measurement solutions, we are looking forward to Intergeo, where we can demonstrate our solutions including the advantages associated with colour display, mobility, modularity but also our industry-specific software solutions and our low cost model”, said Bernd Becker, Director Laser Scanner Marketing & Product Management, of FARO Technologies.
