Expanded support of the DiMAC Ultralight+ camera

Toronto, Canada, January 4, 2010: Optech Incorporated, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced lidar survey
instruments, is pleased to announce expanded support of the DiMAC Ultralight+ 60 megapixel medium-format digital
mapping camera. With this new camera addition, Optech now supports the widest range of medium-format cameras of any lidar sensor manufacturer. Available for the entire suite of Optech Airborne Laser Terrain Mappers (ALTM™), the new DiMAC cameras will be fully supported by Optech Services, the 24/7 software and hardware support team.

DiMAC, based in Belgium, has introduced an innovative range of medium-format cameras, the first such products to employ their patented Forward Motion Compensation (FMC) technology to improve airborne image capture quality.

“We are very excited that Optech has chosen to offer the DiMAC Ultralight+ camera with their renowned ALTM product line,” said Julien Losseau, Chief Operating Officer for DiMAC. “We are confident that the survey community will be pleased with the high quality data sets these combined products offer, and we look forward to working with Optech to provide industry-leading support and service to our valued clientele.”

“The latest increases in digital imaging resolution have pushed the need for higher quality cameras, lenses and enabling technologies,” explained Brent Gelhar, Optech’s Vice President of Sales and Strategy. “DiMAC has met this challenge with its new Ultralight+, and we are pleased to offer this latest DiMAC camera with its superb image quality to our valued clients.”
