Esri Business Analyst Desktop 10 Improvements

Redlands, California—September 9, 2010—The latest release of Esri Business Analyst Desktop gives users the ability to access tools and information they need more quickly. Business Analyst Desktop 10 features greatly enhanced performance, a more user-friendly interface, and more online resources to allow users to research their markets, analyze customers, and evaluate sites more efficiently. Business Analyst Desktop software combines the latest demographic, business, consumer spending, and market potential data with geographic analysis to allow users to better understand their markets.

“Users will be pleasantly surprised with the latest release of Business Analyst Desktop. They can now perform many processes that used to take an hour in one minute,” says Lucy Guerra, Business Analyst Desktop product manager. “Additionally, the new interface allows them to directly access the tools they use most.”

Processes in Business Analyst Desktop 10 are now 60 times faster than they were in 9.3.1. This includes delivering faster demographic calculations and reports. The speed of data aggregation for trade areas now makes it possible to process data nationwide without having to break up work into smaller groups of data. With the new business search tool, users can filter, add, and remove criteria quickly and easily and display only the information they want.

Additionally, the new release of Business Analyst Desktop focuses on faster performance through a more customized experience. The Business Analyst toolbar and menu have been redesigned and reorganized to work more efficiently. Users can pick what tasks they want and don’t want to see on the new, dockable Business Analyst window.

With more resources and data available online, Business Analyst Desktop users now get more timely and direct access to the information they need. For instance, users can now access Esri’s latest data online, eliminating the lag time in receiving the new data in the software.
