Encryption and Access Control with Emax

12 September 2007 - Emax, a specialist organisation which sells and supports leading edge solutions and services to a global client base, has furthered it’s strategic distribution partnership with SafeBoot, a provider of security software, by delivering it’s knowledge and experience to support the opening of a Middle Eastern office.

The partnership will offer customers access to an experienced distribution network throughout the Middle East and will support SafeBoot’s delivery of its suite of encryption and access-control technology to businesses throughout the area.

Emax’s award-winning Technology division has procured resellers such as Emircom, EJADA and Help AG. With these resellers onboard, SafeBoot customers are offered a wide range of professional services and technical support. All staff have been trained to the highest standards on SafeBoot's product range and customer support is available in both English and Arabic.

Since Emax established in 2002, EmaxTechnologies has developed and implemented comprehensive solutions in-house, resold and implemented several award winning business information tools, such as CRM, Encryption Technology, Knowledge Management, Loyalty solutions and Technology Optimisation.

According to SafeBoot’s EMEA Vice President, Jan Van Vliet:

“Business in the Middle East is maturing, as are its technology requirements - including the need for comprehensive security solutions. We see this region as a real growth area for SafeBoot and are delighted at our new partnerships. In seeking distributors with a solid understanding of the local IT market, strong focus on security, and an excellent reseller network, we feel that we have secured partnerships with the best in the region.”

Ran Kalsi, Divisional head for EmaxTechnology added:

“Security in the Middle East is a real growth area and we wanted to provide the region with leading-edge security products. Companies are investing heavily in IT security policy and the protection of their data. We are delighted at our strategic partnership with SafeBoot. We've worked together to craft our go-to-market strategy and with EmaxTechnology's regional knowledge, first-rate product knowledge and SafeBoot's superior technology, we have a recipe for success.”

This news of continual growth comes just weeks after the announcement that Emax has established a new division focused on the design, implementation and operation of global loyalty programmes. Guy Deslandes has been appointed as the division’s first Head of Loyalty.

Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.
This month's burning issue:

What message are we sending to senior level decision makers about the importance and value of Spatial Data Infrastructure - SDI - if we keep misrepresenting what SDI is or is all about?

In previous editorials in this magazine I have touched on various SDI issues, especially now that the pan-European SDI has achieved a legally mandated status within the European Union's 27 Member States. Yet I fear that the Geographic Information community - or communities, for there are many - continue to… More…
